For the longest time me first tattoo was my favorite. Not becase it was the best, not the best by a long shot, but becase it had sentimental value. I got it when I was the ripe age of 17. My best friend was dateing an artist from a few towns over, so on the weekends we would go and stay the weekend with him drinka few beers and she would normally get a piece of work. Well after meeting him and hanging out multipul times one weekend he suggested I get my first tattoo. I was of course beyond exited (didn' have to wait almost a whole year until I could get my first) so I told him he could pick the piece. He brought me a two options the first being a naked woman washing her hair in the shower, the second was a naked demonic woman crouching behind a skull holding a pitch fork masturbating..🙃 after talking it over with my boy friend at the time and my friend we decided on the demonic woman. I hopped up into the stool and sat there like a brick until it was done. I have thought about covering it up becase it is thick and not well done. ultimately I don't think I ever could it is such a strong memory for me, especially now that she (and the ex boyfriend) have passed.
Several tattoos and a few years later I still have love for my first tattoo but also a better appreciation for a good tattoo. My current favorite is also my most detailed, a realistic train sitting above the bend in my right arm. It is one of the few tattoos I have that has a "deeper meaning". Even though it is my favorite based solely on looks, it's a reminder that you can't wait on somone to change.
