I wonder who first said "when it rains, it pours"?
First, I got a book deal. Lovely. Then, they wanted two books instead of one. Excellent. Now, I've got friends and colleagues introducing me to even more editors and they ALL want to see new book proposals from me. It seems that I may end up the alt-Martha after all, instead of publishing one knitting book and then on to my Serious Novel.
Not that I'm complaining, mind you.
Add that to running my store and trying to have some semblance of a life, and you've got one busy camper...
Ah well. Ride the bucking bronco while you can.
I'm kind of disappointed Legionnaire didn't allow my most recent contribution to the news section. He seems to think it's bad to paint people who are taking antidepressants as dangerous or unstable. Read this article and tell me what's worse - stating that the President's on medication to control his erratic behavior, or the fact that he stormed off stage at a press conference like a big overgrown baby? That's a fact which CAN be confirmed, whether or not the whole Capitol Hill Blue story is 100% true. I'd like to think the person running the country has his shit together to the point where he doesn't throw a tantrum when pressed about the issues. (in this case, his personal relationship to Enron ex-CEO Ken Lay). People wouldn't be writing entire books about Bush's mental health otherwise.
Whatever. Bush scares me.
Buy these - at least you can have fun with that fact! Even my aunt owns a pair, and she's over 60! (See? Told you my store carries cool stuff)
