I can take some small comfort in the fact that people who are much brighter than I am think bush sucks, too.
for me, the most telling statement of the entire article is that "People are shocked by what's going on". haha! some people are so very slow to learn.
in regards to the bush administration blocking stem cell research, one biologist says "I don't get the sense that science was particularly part of the decision making". well, hmm. seems like it rarely is these days.
there are a dozen good lines from this article - nothing terribly shocking, mind, but interesting and a bit giggle inducing (if you can keep a sense of humor about political idiocy run rampant).
I'm being very flippant, of course, but I really don't know what to say on the matter. they talk of questioning bush's commitment to science, but I don't recall him offering any impression that he cared about anything other than preserving freedom from all those damned freedom haters.
