Everday I think of something to write about, but I never put it down anymore.
Today is my last real day working at ye olde gas station. Of course because I don't want to be completely unemployed and I hate leaving my co-workers out on a limb, I offered to work part time, which is giving me 10 hours a week, and I'm going to see about squeezing a few more hours, so at least I have a somewhat livable wage. Right now Toys R Us is accepting seasonal applications so I'm hoping to go back there, at least for a little bit of pay, and a more pleasant atmosphere.
In the meantime I'm goign to use my freetime to become a beautiful househusband, and clean the apartment, and rearrange some furniture, since we really never finished unpacking. I'm also thinking of working on a children's book or two or twelve. I'm not sure which project I want to do first though.
Here's my ideas thus far:
A series of faux-cultural tales, which would basically be retelling grimm tales with a southwestern/indian theme
A surreal tale being written in haiku-let form. Each page would be a haiku, and after 40-60 poems later it'd tell one complete tale.
A serial series about a mouse and a one armed robot who make music and fight aliens. This would come complete with soundtracks and would be a little more like a comicbook.
Then I have a few comicbook stories I want to do, but I want a collaborater for those.
Anyone see Clerks II yet? I think I'm going to see it Friday. I sold my soul for free passes to AMC theaters... damn cheap friends...
