Saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Verizon Center in DC last night. Not a bad show, but the band only played for roughly 2 hours and that included an encore. I thought the the vocals sounded horrible. Its not that Anthony Kiedis' singing was bad, but the sound quality coming from the speaker set up was awful. I swear, you could not understand a thing he was saying. It sounded as though he was speaking/singing through a toilet paper roll. The best part of the show was by far John Frusciante and Flea. John Frusciante played solo after solo and even had a spotlight set that was incredible. The guitar play was well worth the price of admission.
