My Thoughts on: Pizza
Specifically New York Style and deep dish. Now to start off with I love pizza, tis 1 of my favorite foods but after sampling several varieties of the aforementioned newyork and deep dish styles I can say I am not a fan of either of those styles. Starting off with New York style, it is more closely related to the pizza that you get at most pizza joints "ie" Pan Pizza. You can hold it in 1 hand if need be and it does not require utensils to eat. What I dont like about New York style is that the crust is to damn thin. This leads it to being to crispy/crunchy and if over done a bit on the carbonized side. I like my crust chewy and bread-ish. Then we have Deep Dish "pizza". Now deep dish is pretty tasty, i am not doubting its flavor or anything, merely the fact of calling it pizza. I cant call it that, cuz it really isnt, pizza can be held in 1 hand, it does not require a fork and/or knife to eat. I would like to see someone eat deep dish like regular pizza, its more like a soup bread bowl on steroids or a stew bread bowl. Its tasty but its not pizza, its its own thing, its own species that may have ancestry within the pizza family but no more! It is Deep Dish. Maybe its because Im half way between New York and Chicago, sorta, that I prefer the in-between variety of pizza known as Pan variety and all of its many spin off relatives. Regardless though, if any of these types o pie are placed before me, I still eats them
