As you get older it is harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary.
Ernest Hemingway
I would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the well wishes and concern I have been shown towards my recent health emergency. The worst has certainly passed, but once again, the artists of the Western world are forced (usually) to choose between sustaining the creative edge or paying exorbitant amounts of money and time towards basic health care. As Warren Zevon pointed out in the documentary put out after his death: I made a tactical error perhaps in not seeing a Doctor for twenty-five years. It certainly has not been that amount of time for me, but I have learned my lesson well this time around. I no longer can afford to look at life like I might have chosen to do as a single man with no children. I am striking the best balance possible between my health, longitude, and happinessfor the world is made up of few too many like myself..and I plan to be around for the few who truly get and love the Dichotomy of me.
We continue the countdown of 300 songs which affected me during the last two years of lifeawaiting the birth of the first ancestor whose eyes I have been able to look back into.
And as always-If you would like to continue to follow the musical side of this..the tracks are here:
