This week's @bloghomework assigned by @missy and @rambo is a fun and thought provoking topic! I've found that there is always a song or two that standout as THE song for each era of my life. Its amazing the way music can take you back to that time in your life. These songs are what I would consider to be the soundtrack to my life -I warn you, there's a strange variety of music genres.
*Deftones "Passenger" http://youtu.be/sTPn4Jlrjb0 -This song reminds me of @the_mortal and I being teenagers. "Roll the windows down, this cool night air is curious. Let the whole world look in, who cares who sees anything. I'm your passenger"
*Horse the Band "A Million Exploding Suns" http://youtu.be/hTq1AcjKpCc -This band makes me think of my early 20s. Roadtrips, bands, shows, living a carefree life, enjoying every bit of it! "When I'm alseep, I dream I'm awake, or is it when I'm awake, I dream I'm asleep"
*Sankofa "The Bottom Line" http://youtu.be/JecBnEDFtXM -I really enjoyed this whole album, although I wasn't able to find many songs on Youtube. I listened to this album a lot in my mid 20s, right after I became an SG. This was when I started to expand beyond the metal scene.
*Left Lane Cruiser "Big Momma" http://youtu.be/aWvSY6SeLPA -My late 20s brought this whole other kind of happy music and memories -a foot stomping, groovin', beer drinking, good time!
*Lana Del Rey "Summertime Sadness" http://youtu.be/nVjsGKrE6E8?t=33s -This super sexy song makes me think of the last two or three years of my life. Finding myself, learning, expanding, exploring.
Here's a photo *someone* snuck in and took of me, while I was laying in bed, listening to music, and editing photos...
I'd love to hear your thoughts on my life's soundtrack!
