Yesterday was kind of lame, but at the same time there was indeed some awesomeness.
So I woke up around noon, took a shower and took a drive down to the Palladium box office to buy tickets to see Sleep at the Wiltern in June. If you haven't heard of them then you really need to check them out. They're making a comeback after being broken up for a long time. I saw them in SF last summer and they blew my mind:
Then I tried to head over to this place - Coney Dogs In LA
They aren't open yet, which was lame. Being that I'm from the Detroit area, I was stoked to hear about a Detroit-style coney dog place in LA. In fact 2 people from back home have already e-mailed me about it in the last couple weeks. I hear they will even have Faygo, it may be the happiest place on earth at that point.
Then I drove around for what felt like hours trying to find a place to eat, traffic was really shitty. I ended up going to one of my favorite places in Silverlake called Good Microbrew. Their Hemp Ale is fantastic.
After that I went to Home Depot to pick up a couple things and they didn't have one of the things I was looking for, which sucks because it was the one thing I really needed most. Lame. Again, traffic sucked balls and I drove around for way too long.
The up side is that I listened to Killswitch Engage the whole time, which is awesome.
So after Home Depot and a short stop at Sears I was totally burnt out on driving and made one last stop at Jamba Juice for a Pomegranate smoothie and went home.
Then I got super high while watching the Goonies, and fell asleep. Which was awesome, but I had planned on going to a show in the valley and missed it, which was lame because it would have been a super awesome time.
It was still a good day, and in one day was modeled an entire lifetime. Because life is never totally awesome all the time, there's always lame stuff to deal with. We get to have a new day every day, but we only get one lifetime. I suppose its best to just ignore the lame stuff and get super high and watch the Goonies.
