Here are five random facts about me. Well, four random facts and one lie, since I can never be straight about anything.
- For some reason most people seem to regard me as some sort of devil, and at least 3 separate people have nick-named me Lucifer at various points in my life.
- I still know all the words to Transformers: The Movie (the proper one, with the Stan Bush soundtrack, none of this Michael Bay rubbish). In fact, I still remember more about Transformers G1 than almost anyone else I meet.
- A character I created called Charles Arthur Cromwell, a former member of the Torchwood institute, is officially part of Doctor Who continuity. There is also a typo in the book he appears in. He was recruited to Torchwood from MI16, which was part of the old British War Office, and it dealt with scientific intelligence, but an overeager proof reader was unaware this department existed, and corrected it to MI6.
- I was once very "off my face" at a film convention, and told director Mike Hodges that Flash Gordon was "the most exciting thing ever committed to celluloid". He looked at me for about a minute before asking me if I was insane.
- For reasons that escape me, I seem to be a fair cook, and can whip up a mean garlic bread and pizza (pepperoni for those of you who are interested). A prefect companion to a nice Rioja or Chianti. Followed by home made rice pudding and jam. Although I would never refer to such fare as "pukka". Git.
