She was dark, with the shadows of a too long remembered past. Forever surfacing, never quite forgotten. In the eyes the empty sighs of reality seeping through the veil of delusion. Pushing up the edges of the mask she donned daily. Smiling vacantly, attempting to acknowledge, interact, feel something. Nothing. Darkness. Despair. Wishing for pain, pain preferable to paralysis. Hit me, make me feel. Shaking her head she pushes her self off the seat and forces herself to continue on up the tairs to the first floor.
