I came across something weird on wikipedia today. To kill some time in work, I was checking out Slobodan Milosevic, the former President of Serbia, who died while defending himself against the charge of crimes against humanity at The Hague. For those of you interested, I have a weird interest in dictators, particularly strange ones.
Needless to say, this was not a nice man. Even though he was cleared of the charge of genocide, the International Court of Justice President stated that "he was aware of the risk of the massacres occurring and did not act to prevent them."
However, even after he died, his legend lived on. So much so, that in March of this year, a man broke into his tomb and shoved a hawthorn stake threw his heart to prevent him rising as a vampire! I mean, isn't this a bit much. The man, who in one source was described as a vampire hunter (apparently still a valid career choice in Eastern Europe) then phoned the police to let them know. The polices response to this was "okcheck the hands aren't moving."
