Ouch. I'm sat here on a Friday night, with my back cut to shit while the two women I love are out on the piss in Manchester. Therefore, I'm drowning my sorrows with hobgoblin ale while watching The Shield.
Had a tattoo done yesterday, well, the outline anyway. It was a spur of the moment thing, went into Skin Creation in Cardiff for a browse on Wednesday, saw a large back piece involving a snake and a tiger, and booked it straight away. Had it done yesterday morning, and been aching ever since.
Anyway, it was commented that I was the only person that read an obscure Russian novel (The Master And Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov) while having a tattoo done. It sounded weird, but what do other people do while having a tattoo done? However you look at it, sat in an uncomfortable position (and the freakiness of another man shaving your back), while having ink injected under your skin, is not how most people regard a fun time. How do most people deal with it?
And on another note, if you can, read The Master And Margarita. A fantastic novel, and has rocketed into my top 5. Mick Jagger based the devil from Sympathy For The Devil on Woland, and ever single scene with Behemoth the cat is a delight, also, weirdly, Pearl Jam based a song on two of the characters in the song Yield. I enjoyed it so much, I'm gonna give it to my younger sister for a present.
