I've decide to start keeping a journal as a resouce for other SG members. It's going to be a journal based around my primary passion in life: Food and Drink. I'm a restaurant and cafe working motherfucker and am interested in starting my own. I'm going to be using my journal here to give Recipes that worked out well for me, good cheap wine suggestions (for under $15), suggestions for websites and cookbooks to be used as resources, places to eat etc.
Wine Suggestion: Joel Gott Suvignon Blanc California 2004 $9
Tart and direct Granny Smith apple flavor with a little bit of grass and just enough sweetness to keep this wine very drinkable. Very good food wine. Especially with this sandwich. My end of the summer Muffaleta:
Ciabatta roll with Mortadella (the original bologna) sliced very thin, Artichoke, Basil, and Oven dried Tomato cream cheese, Arugula, red onion, and End of the summer Heirloom Tomato.
Cheers,
Christopher
