Doesn't look like I'll be on much for a bit more than a week. In a fairly startling (but not spontaneous) turn of events, my sister will be visiting me.
Which is a bit of a change. Usually I've gotta go back home to see my family, but after a lot of bad times with my brother-in-law, she needs a break from our hometown of Suicideville.
No, he didn't commit suicide, but a lot of other people have been lately. Guess that's the new northern MN trend. Rock. Think I'll pick me up a nice new switchblade and a bottle of Jack in honor of that.
Just kidding kids, I likes me some irreverant jokes.
Anyway, she's bringing my favorite human on the face of the planet with her, my beautiful nephew. I'm gonna carry him around to various businesses I frequent and try to convince people he's mine.
Really he kinda is. Even if he doesn't know it yet. And hopefully when they leave I'll be able to give them something nice to mark the occassion.
Anyway, during this time I'll be:
1. Missing you guys.
2. Learning a language I've not been familiar with in years: baby-talk.
3. Walking.
4. Working.
5. Catching up with my sister.
We were never great friends growing up. In fact, one of my earliest memories is of her telling me that she hated me and wishing I wasn't her brother.
It was weird. Like I just knew that my life would be that way. Maybe not my earliest memory, but the first lesson I refused to learn.
It wasn't until she moved out that we actually started to like each other. And she hates Minneapolis. We'll see how this goes. Either way, I'm fairly excited.
Take care kids, see you at the party.
