So here is the weekend I had:
At 1:00 Saturday morning I caught a bus too pick up my car. (see previous entry for details). It was a 5 overnight trip during which I got NO sleep at all, because when I got on the bus the only seat available was next to a very large woman. I was so squashed that attaining a restful position was impossible. At the end of the trip I had a four hour lay over where I managed to get at least a little bit of sleep... on a steel bench. Then it was a one hour bus journey and a half hour walk to the mechanics. By that time I had reached the point of overtiredness where you wonder if you will ever be able to sleep again. When I tried to get some sleep on the beach, I couldn't. In the end I decided to get as much driving in as I could while I was still awake. On the way out of town I picked up a couple of German tourists hitching a ride to Hope. So I had company for most of the drive, but I don't think I was the best host since most of my energy was focused on driving. I did stop to show them the hope landslide just before I dropped them off though. If you haven't seen it, it is spectacular. About an hour from home I was getting so hungry and tired I just wanted to be home RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!! Then I hit traffic.
When I finally got home I went right to bed.
Yesterday afternoon we had a small garden party at our house. I don't know why but lately it seems like we aren't getting as many people to our parties as we used too. Everybody is just to busy I guess. It was alright though 'cause I needed a mellow evening before going back too work.
That is all. Except to say that if you live in BC, Alberta or the Pacific Northwest of the US, and you would like me to visit you in September let me know 'cause I have most of the month off and I am looking for things to do.
Cheers for now,
Brendan
