Still in Afghanistan. I ended up signing another contract. I have a little over 3 months left on this contract then I REALLY AM going home this time :) I closed on my house in February. My brother needed a place to go and I have an apartment on one end of my workshop so he's staying there. He's working on getting a business going with a little financial help from me and he's keeping an eye on my place while I'm still working overseas. It's good for both of us :) I bought 3 more horses this year. A 3 year old quarter horse filly that I have with a cutting horse trainer now and a draft team of two 15 year old Halflingers geldings. Thought it would be cool to work on being a bit more "green" and use horses as opposed to a tractor ;) Getting another rare day off today. I don't know that it's really "rare" but we are lucky if we get 2 days a month off. In the almost 21 months I've been here there have been times we've worked close to 3 months without a day off. We do get 21 days a year vacation though ;) I'm looking forward to going home the end of March. Lots of work to do with my property :)
My Halflingers enjoying their new home :)
