Another so so day
nothing much exciting happened today at work
although I did completely manage to forget that I was on duty as opposed to sitting at my desk surfing the net all day
suddenly got a call to say my 2o'clock appointment was in
wouldnt have been such an issue except that last friday when I was off work I completely forgot about another damn duty slot and didnt arrange any cover
first thing I knew was when my mobile rang and I heard 'where are you, you're supposed to be on duty' oops! Worst thing ids the manager of that particular dept is a total Ice Maiden and hates me
....because you guessed it I double booked a training day and duty cover
Its not my proper job anyways so f##k em!
The afternoon was the usual mix of post 16yr olds looking for college course places at his late stage and being shocked/pissed off to hear that they are all full up, and even more annoyed to be told to apply earlier next time
Still I did manage to get one of em a couple of interviews to do GCSE's at FE college as he had come in from Yemen and had no quals
Off to school tomorrow to be on hand for those who's exam results are'nt quite as good as they were expecdting
Also tonight mid-way through my dinner I had to go and rescue my sisters BF who had managed to get his car really wedge tight against a brick wall and metal spike
a bit of lateral thinking and deft use of a saw soon sorted that on out, best bit part one not even a mark on his Golf GTi
part 2 is free dinner Friday for helping him out
Watched an intersting documentry on C5 last night by Michael Burke about the demise these days of the 'manly' man
apparently modern day woman is looking for a moisturised man who's in touch with his feminity, cries openly and talks about his feelings a lot
sounds great but the best bit was that the women who got this kind of man into the sack were disapointed and wanted the 'old' type of man back
Any thoughts?
I'm off to my cave
now wheres that Nivea for men.....

I don't want David Beckham either. I don't want a man who spends more time in the mirror than me, and since I spend almost zero time in the mirror anyway...
Having said that I don't really like stubble. Would you want to kiss my unshaven armpits?
The talking about feelings bit is fine though.
Phone is a shitey LG thingummy... really should buy a camera!
