Back in Japan. However not for good. This deployment schedule is getting ridiculous.
rokko:
Hey, I'm back in japan, too.
Actually I've been seriously ill since august, and now I'm in treatment for injuries which I got from an traffic accident. I can't do anything myself, and I don't want to believe it takes 2months or more to heal.

If you don't mind, I'd like to write you like we used to last year.

I love Japan, but I really don't want to keep having port visits in my home port!

At least I get a few days off the boat.
sisu:
I'd rub your back you ol' fart!
Pics of the bunny!

I'm starting to become very attached to my camera, if I leave home without it, I keep seeing things I should take pictures of! I've never been much of a photographer but I kind of like the amateur documentary thing.

Once again I'm set to wave goodbye to The Land of the Rising Sun. I haven't felt so apprehensive about it as I do this time around, though. Maybe the stress of four years of sea duty is finally wearing down on me. I did come to realize that when I was married, I enjoyed being out to sea much more than I do now...

Lol. According to most novels, that seems to be true of most seamen.

I feel that calling someone emo is just too cliche. So, from this day forth, instead of being compared to a whiny teenager, you'll be compared to a bitter, unsatisfied old man. Nix emo, you will be called Hemingway.

Either way, build a bridge and get the fuck over it.

PS: this not a message written to anyone in particular but a random, albeit harsh,...

Hope things are ok in your world....

Funny, I 've tried to post a couple times and each time the phone rings, friends comes over....it's been a day of interruptions. Good ones mind you but it makes for alot of stops and starts .
I like lemon and ginger tea. It's my second fave. I also like Reece's peanut butter cups! Especially the ice cream!
If I wasn't already tucked into bed. I'd totally go and get some.

What did you think of the movie? (You are totally allowed to play the cheesy card with me. I deserve it! Hehe.)
sisu:
lol
I like Hemingway!
Hahahahaha.....

Yeah I had mixed feelings about the ending.
In the end though, she will never meet him. His promise is empty because he's from so far in the future and he knows it. He was just trying to comfort her.

One thing that I liked it for was all the animations of the clouds. Are clouds really like that in Japan?
Clouds are like that here in the summer. The best.

5 day liberty port.

In my homeport. But I'm not complaining. Bowling and drunken Shenanigans on Saturday!
sisu:
Yay! Bowling and Druken Shenanigans!
lol

I missed you too! I've been watching all these great anime movies and I kept thinking, "Geez, he should watch these. This is awesome!" biggrin

How have I been..... super busy, kinda under the weather. Had a mad dash to the hospital for a bunch of tests all or which were unconclusive. Waiting for more dumb tests. Teaching a whole bunch of dance workshops this week (so exciting!) Applying for jobs. Generally being very artsy and wishing there was more sunshine. :-) ( In a nutshell)

Yes, I will pass along my email.

I'm on a train to Yokosuka. I'm leaving in the morning for a while. How exciting. Back on the boat. Suprisingly, the Lonely Island track that has become the staple for those in the Navy is an ironic expose. Life on a carrier is hell for the Air Wing. Ah well. I'll be back soon.

I just finished watching Elfen Lied. What a crazy anime!
sisu:
Oh you have to watch "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time"!

It's now in my top ten!

Hmmmm I wonder if you are up to your elbows in bad chemicals and mechanical parts right now....

The island of Iwo Jima provides a hell of a bike ride. I can't even imagine what it was like trying to fight on that island. Claiming Mt. Suribachi had to be nearly as hard to claim as the beaches of Normandy. I drank a beer on top in honor of those who died. It may seem ludicrous but if you've ever met an American...

It sounded a hard work you had.
I promise I'll be doing good in Germany, and I don't know when I can come back in Tokyo for a vacation or something, though you're my good friend in Japan. I hope we can meet again sometime in future.
smile
Thanks again, Michael.

If your muse is on hiatus, it sounds like you are doing some cool stuff in the mean time!

My new goal in life written in Algebra: [6 of my friends + me x (1.5 hours of bullshit)]/-(meaning + context) = 1 film or >= $Millions.

I figure if Judd Apatow can cast all his friends and family member in films and they all act the same/sound the same/cry and laugh about the same shit with no real direction or purpose and be completely...

So what do they feed you on a ship? Is it as bad as in the movies? It can't be that bad! Lol.
I never used to like to cook or even eat that much for that matter. When I was dancing, I was too busy. It was always eating quick and dashing out the door. Now that I have a bit more time I like to make things and actually enjoy it.

Talk nerdy hey!? lol
Hmmm I have a shitload of nerdy things going on at any given time. I'm currently waiting for a phone call from someone I'm teaching a workshop for in live visual mixing. (I actually really want to have a nap right now so I'm fighting the urge so I can catch this phone call.) I'm going to teach people how to make graphic stuff on their computers to project along with music. Nerdy? Yup!
sisu:
Lol! Well if I'm giving shivers with that nerdiness I'm having a good day!

That doesn't sound good. :-(
The food or the chemicals!
Here's me wishing you some good food!

$400. I had to pay weight tax and renew my insurance. God. If someone had told me owning a car in Japan would be this expensive I wouldn't have done it. But the car was free, so how could I refuse. Besides, I love my little station wagon.

And God help me if I can find a Japanese copy of Cowboy Bebop OST 1.

What is weight tax?
sisu:
That's interesting. If we had a pay a weight tax here, everyone would have a fit. Because my city is right in the middle of farm country, everyone drives these ridiculously large trucks. Granted some people need them but sometimes I think it's just for show.

Dammit!!! My friend's band is playing next Thursday and I'm pretty sure I'll have to work that night. No bueno. No, no bueno.

Also, congrats to Chie on her debut set. If I was a chick I'd have myself posted all over this site. So...I'm jealous...
