So here I am.
For the next 2 weeks I'm locked out assisting on a mixing session at the studio. Two weeks of dong nothing and getting paid for it.
Sweet.
Its really odd, though because this is the first time in like 2 years that I can look at a callender and tell you where I'll be and what I'll be doing next week or in two weeks. I've lived on such a spontaneous, last minute basis that I'm almost nervous about having plans or having a set schedule. Most people are afraid of NOT having a set schedule. Oh, well. I got in to this career because I was sick of the mundane routine and day-to-day of everything else, and I love it.
The session is really cool, though. The producer is great and the band is great...Every time they stop by they find some way to make me laugh my ass off - Their from Chicago too and I guess there is just such a thing as Chicago humor, whatever it is, I'm having fun. Even if all I'm doing is sitting around for 12 hrs every day. Its better than being in a cubicle! Hahaha, cubicle suckers.
More time to network on SG!

I'm a lot like you, I prefer to work from project to project myself. Hopfully I can make enough contacts out here to keep busy enough to make a living.
