Moving house operation pretty much complete, so I have been a little busy with my camera in the last week or so.
Last week I took my best shot of a robin so far. Got in close, shallow depth of field to give that classic portrait look. You have to be quick with these little fellows. View.
I've been experimenting with a macro lens to take quirky facial shots of my 6 month old son, Dexter, which I think have been turning out quite well! View.
My kingfisher hunt was not successful this week, so I opted for yet another duck shot. This is an unusually coloured light brown female mallard. They are so easy to shoot, especially with a 300mm! View.
I also had time to do a semi-candid shoot with Em_ and our son, Dexter at the local park, which I was also quite please with. I much prefer this kind of family portraiture, as I'm not a fan of forced 'pretend you're happy' poses. The photos below are considerably more natural and easier on the eye. See attached!
I do love taking photos, so naturally I like to share them too!! Check out my entire Flickr Photostream for more!

Ah, these shots are gorgeous! The pop colours really make them stand out.
