Still housesitting andstuff. today i gotta water the plants. I try go home twice a day for my puppies but i've kinda been making it once aday. My neph Wes has been staying there a little bit to keep an eye on them and my bro Dave has been goin over a bit more too so they are okay.
Now it's been over 13 years since my dad past away, yesterday was the day. It's hard to believe it's been so long. People would always say we look just alike. after seeing a pic of him when he was a teenager and i was too it's almost like twins except i'm the fat one. He was the best dad ever! i'm sure most people say that but he believed in everything i wanted to to. He paid for basketball lesons and swiming lesons and was behind me on everything and i was 12 when he passed so i didn't really get to know him past being my father but i learned a lot from family and people even now look at me and say "aren't you Dale's son?" how many co-workers/friends would you remember after 13 years w/o talking to their family the whole time?
Dad gave me a business card with his company logo in it and my title was "Best Helper". i helped him with everything; building storage bins to put on top the camper, a new shed for the house and any little project around the house or at work, i went with him to work A LOT.
I remember the first time getting caught staying up late playing Road Blaster on the NES.
My bother asked his gf to marryhim and i hear the wedding date is dad's birthday, July 18. also i wasn't supposed to know yet but Dave wants me to give Kim away at the wedding! Oh and Zack has started feeding finally!
