So I went and test drove a Denali today. Only problem was, the one i wanted wasn't in a color I wanted. They had some others with all sorts of needless shit like touchscreen nav (I know L.A. so well it's insulting to even think of why I would need one), rear bucket seats (like I give a shit about passengers #3 and #4...I'm lucky to have a passenger #2), and moonroofs (ok, so I would've liked the moonroof). All I wanted was the engine for towing and high altitude and front seats, but it was in this stupid "silver birch" color that I just can't reconcile getting.
In case you're wondering:
I promised myself that I'd look at Aviators too....but I seriously hate car shopping, so I weaseled out of that one. Maybe tomorrow although I doubt it.
They also tried to run my credit, and give me a shitty deal, so fuck 'em. I'll go through Edmunds when I'm ready.
In related news, I'm alledgedly getting [CENSORED][CENSORED][CENSORED][CENSORED] which is very exciting (as well as the contingency for getting the Denali). Sorry for the censoring, I read an article on blogs the other day that had me a little concerned and since I'm posting about something I'm not supposed to know, I have to be extra careful.
In other news, I had dinner with the Summer Fling and she pretty much told me (as nicely as she could-I'll give her credit for that) that she didn't want to pursue a relationship with me or be friends or anything else. Not too surprising given my EXTREMELY successful track record of going nowhere with these sorts of things. I took it well.
I'm starting a regular meetup with a former intern to do weights Tuesday and Thursday nights which is nice. I didn't get to do weights much this week as I was chained to my desk and under a lot of stress with work in general.
I think I'm going right back where I went for vacation this year as last year. Which is nice. People think I'm nuts...that there's a whole world out there to explore. The problem is...exploring involves doing homework and then getting up off my ass and making something of it. Do I really want to do that on a relaxing vacation? Um, fuck no. Not these days anyway.
My car has spent the last month in the shop getting warranty work done. Is that total bullshit or what? Of course I have had loaners the whole time which is nice but so what. It's going to be really nice to have something new.
I haven't had anything to photograph in a while
. I miss my photography. Help me think of something.
