What a relaxing weekend.... no shows for me and no where to rush off to. I went for my weekly organic fruit and veggie shop this morning. I didn't go last weekend as I was down the coast and mega sick so I've been making the food I did have stretch big time. I hate buying fruit and veggies from the supermarket now. I walk past them all and they look as though they have no life force.
I had dinner with my wonderful friends Tom & Nadine on Friday night. We went to this amazing Thai place down the coast. I had this strange custard and rice pudding thing. After we had some quiet drinks and some good laughs.
Yesterday I went to Sountbank as I read in the paper there was going to be Buddha's Birthday celebrations. I got there and after driving around for a million years to find a parking spot, I was told that it was a miss print and the festivities weren't until three weeks time! They have a churro stand at the markets there. I love churros! There was a sign that said be back in 5 minutes so we waited and waited and waited - they didn't come back and we got jack of waiting so I missed out on churros
Other than that, things are actually feeling good in my world. I seem to be finding a lot more happiness in the simpler things in life, like watering my garden, cooking some awesome food, listening to Rancid, creating the next zine - it's getting a whole lot closer (really)! I'm not putting pressure on myself - that's when things start to go off balance for me I've worked out.
Thought for today ~ It'll destroy you the second you try to make it matter to anyone else but yourself", Henry Rollins.... this guy knows what he's on about ~

I always think its so great to hear about people who really enjoy their job, it seems to be such a rare thing. I'm so happy for you
p.s. I hope you get the job mentioned in your previous entry, wow three jobs, thats pretty amazing in itself.
Yum, I hadn't ever heard of a Churro until now, if they are like a donut kind of thing I'd probably love them, delish!!
He moved in with one after knowing her for barely 2 weeks. Believe it or not .. they were together for 7 years. The last 3 of those years they were at each other's throats though. She'd always tell him that she wanted out, and that she didn't love him anymore, but he didn't buy it. Eventually he got out of that relationship .. but not without some heavy words from his best friend and myself.
On the upside .. he's happily married now
Thanks for the compliment BTW ... and you're pretty cute
