I had my job interview today for a Senior position at work. I think I did pretty well, one of the interview panel said my selection criteria was excellent and very detailed yay for me! There's another guy from my team that's going for the job, he comes up to me after it and was like 'you dressed up', like duh it's a job interview! He said 'I was hoping you'd dye your hair pink or forget your pants or something'... nice guy, hey.... or maybe he just wanted to see me with no pants. I wished him luck because when it comes down to it, who ever is meant to get the job will. I did my best and that's what counts, although I'd lie if I said I didn't really want to get it. If I get it that means I can go to America xxx fingers crossed for me xxx...
I met Erythrocytez yesterday. He's totally cute and super sweet. We talked for three hours solid. It's so rad when you meet people you totally connect with. It was totally comfortable, even the few silences. That's when you know you've found a friend where you don't have to say anything and every thing's not awkward. It's funny how we both work at UQ but don't know where anything is!! He's a Cancer and I'm a Scorpio apparently that's an awesome compatibility. Two of my dearest friends in the whole world are Cancer's. We mutually agreed that maybe a SG Casino Brissie hookup sounded like fun, gambling, drinking and nasty women what more could you want! Cheap cocktails, yum!
So far it's been a relatively quite week. I've started to review the pile of cd's. I really dislike The Plain White T's new album I listened to it twice and still got nothing. The new Paint It Black is amazing, they remind me of Black Flag/Minor Threat hardcore/punk rock. Ten cd's done and only one hundred and ten to go.
Tomorrow night I'm going to the Tiger Beer Transit party. The party is going to be held at a train station. There's going to be live subway art, kung fu mayhem (a lethal concoction of street fight scenes mixed with subway footage and Kung Fu animations which will be projected on the venue walls), dj's and Asian food vendors and of course lots of free beer... sounds pretty interesting.
I'm being interviewed on Logan's local Youth radio show on Friday which should be pretty interesting... I so hope they don't ask me a question like 'so what is punk?' I hate that question, I always get asked that. It's like how are you supposed to answer that? If you put a million punks in a room you'd get a million different answers. They want to talk to me about my Nescafe Big Break win. I wonder how long it'll be before I make it on to the promo for it on Milo tin... ha ..ha. That will be so embarrassing.
I've been asked to help judge the Toowoomba vs. Brisbane Band Wars on Saturday too. I don't think I'm going to do it though, a very special friend of mine's band is competing and I think there'd be a conflict of interest. I helped judge the High School Rock Awards one year and it was dodgy as. You had to score each band and then they'd tally it all up at the end and who ever had the most won, well in theory anyway. The band that won was the band that came runner up last year, the judges thought it fair that they should win this year as they didn't the year before, never mind who actually scored the highest overall. When I kicked up a fuss they gave me my money for judging and said I can leave now. I guess that's what you get when you get together with a bunch of music industry/media arseholes. When I arrived there this chick that was on the judging panel, and she was like 'Hi I'm so and so from blah blah blah' in a I'm so important tone and then I said 'Hi I'm Bianca' and she just looked at me and said 'Bianca who? From where?' It's like, as if it matters. Before I see myself as a writer or even dare I call myself journalist I see myself as a fan, plain and simple. I pretty much write about bands I like so hopefully other people will check them out and get something cool from them like I do. Bands Bianca's loving at the moment are: The BlackMarket and Common Rider. I also unbelievably much love the new Gwen Stefani cd.
I'm out of here though, I have a doctor's appointment to go to. I get my test results back, hopefully they're not bad.

I wouldn't go as far as to say our meeting was totally comfortable; sitting on that concrete step for 3 hours isn't exactly the epitome of physical relaxation, but at least there was no ants.
I think you should go post the casino idea in the Australia group. Noone listens to me there, I think I posted too much stupid stuff like 'who would win in a fight: Don Burke or Dr Harry Cooper?', 'Wasn't Breakers just the best show ever?', or 'Remember when Shane from Home and Away died?'
I might try and drop in to you library to say hello tomorrow. I'm at uq from 12-2, so if I get there a bit early I will, but I mightn't get time. I probably won't, so don't get to excited.
Harry wants to say hello.

Sorry, but he has trouble typing because he has paws instead of fingers, and they can be quite clumsy.
