Time for my yearly update I'm so horrible at keeping up with blogs...
So a lot has changed in the past 9 months. One, I'm FINALLY done with my demon children. I do have to admit I miss the IDEA of them now, though. You know...having the kids around. Being "teacher". But I don't miss THOSE kids at all. God. What a year. I ended it with another emotional-behavioral disorder entering my classroom in April. Oh yeah. You fill in the blanks.
That said, I quit. I put my resignation in in February, finished out the year, and walked out with a smile on my face. I'm off to Austin,TX this week to move into my new apartment Jobs, you say? Well, no luck so far...but I have tons of faith in the fact that once I actually GET there and can get my face into the schools there, I will get a job. Ok, I'm reading your minds. "Why Austin?" This has been the most popular of questions for me lately and I typically get dumbfounded stares when I answer. Because I want to. No, I have no family there. No, I have no good friends there (well, one from elementary school that I'm rekindeling). No, I have not spent significant amounts of time there. No, no one is going with me. I just want somewhere new and exciting. I'm sick of Tuscaloosa and it's soul stealing. That's as good a reason as any, to me.
Otherwise, I'm taking up competitive cycling, getting back into a choir, and looking forward to the city life Update you in Austin!!

Good luck to you and to finding a job! Get there, you in person will surely get one
And that's where I would move if I had to pick some place at random. So don't let anybody talk you out of it......
