SG, I owe you an update.
So. I sit here eating honey bunches of oats thinking of what important something I could put down here...and realize that most of the imporant somethings aren't so important when thought about twice. But, I'll write them anyways and let you be the judge.
My number one most important something. Birthdays. Yay for them! I am now just past that age where people think I'm too young to be a professional adult. Ok. So not really. Shut up. *lalalalalalala*
Number two most important something=parents moving. (I told you they were boring somethings) BUT that means I have a perminant place to stay in Denver, CO from now on! AND it means I can guiltlessly leave AL whenever I damn well please. Except for that whole job thing...which sucks.
And that brings me to the job. I'm going to force myself to be brief here because I am making a conscious effort not to dwell on the horror that is my career. I teach third grade in the ghetto. Moving on.
WHICH REMINDS ME...
I left you hanging with the thoughts of returning to Ireland. Here is the latest on that.

Get it? Good. That's all I know of the Ireland plan. No one will cooperate with me. I'm supposed to have a guy putting in a good word for me and scoping out the job scene....haven't heard from him in a month. Supposed to have a guy sending me Kerry contacts. Haven't heard about that in a month. So. It's looking like the way of the Irishman is screwing me. That simple, stress-free, non-urgent Irishman way. But I have a fabulous plan B which makes it burn a little less. Austin, TX. Yes, people...YEEHAW.
So then. That brings me to the New Year. Toasted it in at the Salina, KS Hampton...thanks, blizzards. And have yet to screw up on my New Years resolutions! #1 being "get organized". There is also something about playing a Mellow Mushroom singer songwriter night, learning the entire "Pathetique" on the piano, learning Gaelic, rejoining a yoga class, finding a choir to sing in and a play to act in, finding a space to settle for more than a year....blah blah blah...mix them all up and throw them in some random "resolution order". "Be organized" is the only numbered one
And that's it! I am updated. Talk to you in another 6 months, world![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)

Honestly - just let it flow. But try again with a better irishman at hand ...
If you play at the Mellow Mushroom, be sure to bang on the wall and invite me. I live in a loft with my bed right against the upstairs MM wall. Just don't play to loud and keep me awake!
