I got my Monroe piercing today. smile
I felt all naked without any new tattoos or anything pierced....

I've been playing far too much WoW lately and my house is starting to show it, but I'll wait until tuesday when the server is down to remedy that tongue

Edited to say: I can't seem to see the comments in my comments field! Just the names of the...

If I get off my ass and actually take one of my feminist rants- and turn it into an article- a friend of mine can get it published in a Canadian magazine/journal.

I just can't seem to get it together (motivation wise) to actually write everything out. Actually get myself in a journal- a very intelligent one at that- isn't motivation enough? Get out of...

Happy birthday!

I think we're in the same boat. Or at least the same pond.
I've just quit my all too secure, mindless job at loblaws to follow my dream, and I've been having a few anxieties about it.

My motivation is that by not working in some job just anybody can do I'm making myself a more interesting and empowered person.
How great is it to tell people you work in a field that really interests you and not just a job that might or might not be a good place to work?

I'm still packing. I can't wait for this to be over. Giddy at the thought of my new house.
Loki (who does like to hop onto my bed actually..) is still causing destruction- a construction worker husband of a friend is going to help me out and fix some of the drywall holes.
I think I have a year cap of any given job if...

Loki ate the drywall and moulding from next to my front door. Major home destruction frown
From what i've read he appears to be suffering from major seperation anxiety- common for adopted dogs and huskies.
Hes both.
Ack! Everything says to crate him, but he howls and acts like hes going to destry his paws and teeth on the bars. It's horribly insane.

Suggestions?

Neko Case: Tell me about it! Actually, I'm going to see Belle & Sebastien and the New Pornographers in Seattle this coming weekend and I can't waitshould be a great show.

As for the books, I can't stopping buying even though they are a pain to move. Oh, well there are worse things in life.

Good Luck on moving are you going back to Vancouver?

New dog as well? I have a chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel.

Nice talking to you: )

I've never tried it, but this is what I hear you're supposed to do:

Act like you are getting ready to leave (coat, car keys, etc.), then don't. Sit on the couch or something. Do this every day for a few weeks. Then, do the same thing, but only leave the house for 5 minutes, then come back in. Repeat this over and over in the ensuing weeks, gradually increasing the time that you are gone.

Gets poochie used to you being away, but knowing you WILL be back smile

So far I can say that Loki is one fo the best dogs I've ever had. I know it seems abit soon- but he truly is. He's so loving and affectionate- doesn't beg (although Odin is trying to teach him how) and loves my other dog (and myself) so much that he can't bear to not be around us. smile
What odin needed was a playfriend,...

So i went to the shelter in hopes of taking them up on their offer of a free kitty to replace Freya (since she was sick from pretty much the day I adopted her) and I just couldn't fathom taking home any of the cuties I saw there.
Instead i fell in love with a large husky cross smile (cross with what, we have no clue)...

are they digital pics? or do you scan? either way you should be able to resize them with whatever you use to get them on the pc. also i dont know what file type yours are, but .jpeg is the smallest that i know of

good luck with the pups!

Going in thinking you're getting a kitty and coming home with a big dog? Crazy biggrin

Adopting is often good, both my dogs were from shelters. But I know a lot of people who got "problem dogs" from shelters. They were there for a reason. frown

Best of luck to you.

And so ends the kitty saga.
RIP Freya 02/28/06

For a cat that I adopted just about a month and a bit ago, she sure wormed her docile little way into my heart. As they were putting her down, Van Morissons "Into the Mystic" came on. I will never be able to listen to that song without getting sad.
