The job interview went really well.
Still haven't heard yet, but should by Monday or Tuesday.
Today I came back to work, after being gone for 2 days, to 160+ emails, 22 voicemails, finding out at least 10 of our vendors have us on credit hold, and one is threatening collections, and my bosses (the Controller and CFO) decided to take the day off without notifying me.
Then one of the visiting NSOs for tomorrow's double header bailed due to being sick, I was told that my alternate for the position couldn't work because she had volunteered to work check-in at the door and "events" needed her. My response was "ok fine, but if I don't find a replacement last minute, just realize that the stats I give you after every game won't be complete and the teams won't be able to use them"
They found someone else for check-in.
Seriously, I'm so over my job.
Despite the officiating cluster that happened today, I can't wait for tomorrow's game.
Sometimes, roller derby feels like therapy.
Also, knowing that this could be one of my last games with my officiating crew, makes it that much better.
If I get this job, I am going to miss the hell out of those people.
Still, that is really the only thing keeping me here, and at the end of the day, it's not enough reason to stay.
On a side note, this song is nothing new, but I adore it.
