What a fantastic weekend I had! I went down to Portland to dance at Dante's and to have London shoot a new set for me. We rolled into town late Friday night and crashed, and started our mini vacation Saturday morning with a trip downtown. We had lunch at the much-anticipated (by me) Veganopolis Cafeteria:
I recommend the Tofurkey & Tofutti melt, very tasty. And the nice man behind the counter gave us free samples of the delicious lavendar lemonade, yum! Later that evening we swung by my all-time favourite shopping experience,
Food Fight! It seems they are having a bit of a zombie plague at the moment:
but at least this one was rather handsome, so I didn't let it get in the way of my picking up more vegan caviar or tofurkey jerky, and a few more tins of Veggie Haggis. It was so delightful seeing London again, and such an honour to have her shoot a set for me.
My trip would not have been complete without a stop at Voodoo Doughnut. Words cannot describe how awesome this place is. Perhaps this picture of me waiting in a line that stretched out the door will do it more justice:
Tons of CRAZY doughnuts, and a bunch of vegan options too, yay! The next day (Sunday, the big day of my performance, woot!), Wadewalker and I cruised Hawthorne St, and I dragged him through the American Apparel retail outlet so I could touch everything and be happy. God I love that place. After killing time at Arcade on Belmont, I met up with Marigold, Ryan, Lottie and Bonneville at Paradox Palace for dinner.
The hugest portions ever, and I wanted to eat everything on the menu. I don't think it's fair that Portland hogs all the good restaurants, I want to drag a bunch home with me.
That night I performed at Dante's with the gorgeous Indigo Blue and Lucy Fur:
Thanks so much to everyone who came out, it was so nice to meet you all!
