The Capital City Cheesecake debut show was fantastic, thanks to all the Victoria folk for coming out on a school night to show your support, Lucky Bar was packed! Here's me and the girls for one of our group numbers:
I had a number right before this finale, and the sound guy started playing the final song right after my number ended, so as you can see I barely had time to take off my last costume, let alone put on my stockings and garter, so I just threw on whatever I could to run out in time, haha! The cutest local band ever, Yum Yum Bang Bang played two sets that night too, and I am in love with the adorable singer, who also did most of the work to set up this show, I can't wait to work with her again! Look how hot she is, she totally needs to get into burlesque:
Since I've made my appointment to cut my hair into a perky 50s Marilyn do for August 13th, I have arranged a full schedule of photoshoots to make the most of my long locks. I spent the day with
Sarah Kramer in her new studio having the most fun! Here's a sneak peak at what we worked on, I can't wait to show you all the rest!
Seriously, if you are in the Victoria area and want rad pin-up shots of yourself, pop into Tattoo Zoo, her shop, and make an appointment for glamour shots, you will not be disappointed.
I've got a busy schedule for the next few months, as usual, including a tour down to San Diego in September (go to Bettina.ca so see available dates to book me). To find out more about what my show will be like for this tour, check out the GLAM-O-RAMA Press Kit! I'll be touring with SG Jules and hopefully future SG Ruby Slipper (if I have my way, *wink*). Aren't we cute?
In order to finance this trip, I'm selling off a bunch of my old SG-related items, starting with these shoes from my second set:
and this shirt that I wore in the Probot Music video with Lemmy from Motorhead. It may still have his or Dave Grohl's sweat on it!
Please make me an offer! Both are in totally wearable condition!
Finally, thanks to everyone who bought a print of me in the ballet heels, I got them back from the printer today, and will send them off on Monday. I can't believe how many of you helped me out, I was really overwhelmed by your support, I love this place. You all are too good to me!!

Bettina, the luckiest girl!
PS I almost forgot to tell you all about my current crush: Kirk Douglas. Particularly his character Ned Land in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, and I can't stop listening to the song he sings in that movie, because I'm seriously geeking out for him. How can you not love a 1950s French-Canadian sailor? Unfortunately, I couldn't find any handsome photos of him from that movie online, but I did find these beefcake shots:
Is there a fantasy of mine that this man hasn't portrayed on the silver screen? Sailors and gladiators and boxers, oh my!
