Yesterday, I had my first mini adventure since the Pandemic started. It's been home, work, doctors appointments, & essential errands only. But on the way home from the mechanic yesterday, my hubby and I were driving past an empty lot that usually has a taco truck parked in it, but this time there was an old RTD bus parked by the corner. I thought that was weird. Taking a closer look, I noticed there were PLANTS inside the bus! I made a U-Turn as soon as I could and pulled in.
Y'all!
PLANT BUS!
This plant bus is owned by Wompost Aurora, which is a compost company in Aurora Colorado. The bus was selling soil, succulents, tomato plants, veggie seedlings, potted plants, decor, compostable products, and other little things I know I missed. If you are around Stanley Marketplace, the bus will be at the Clinton & Montview. Not all the time, but keep an eye out for it. Wompost has some amazing future plans like local tea tastings, herbalism classes, and more.
There is likely a compost company in your area doing something cool like this! Companies like Wompost do compost pickups and create local compost drop off points so that composting is doable for city residents as well as suburban or rural ones. Let's get dirty and help the planet at the same time 😉
