An excellent old west drama series about The Oregon Trail told by the daughter of one of the wagon train protectors about their 2000 mile journey from Fort Worth with German immigrants looking for a better life in Oregon. Dialogue and atmosphere are top notch and I blubbed a few times, especially towards the end. A+Netflix. Sam Elliot and IsabelMay put in astonishing performances, but then the rest of the cast aren't far behind....

In absence I played Cyberpunk 2077 and Aliens: Dark Descent. Cyberpunk is a fantastic open world game, I played a female V as I think the companion relationships are more interesting. Nearly all the bugs have been ironed out, an excellent FPS, RPG. Aliens: Dark descent is set in the Aliens universe (unsurprisingly) and is and RTS/RPG dungeon crawl. I'd say it takes place between Alien and Aliens thereabouts. You control a squad of Colonial Marines investigating a colonized planet in distress. There's leveling up between and during missions and it gets tougher as the planet infestation level climbs. A good story line and a huge amount of choices on how to complete the missions. Very thematic and a great music score to round it off.

I am currently watching the World Cup. England are looking good as are Sweden. Germany and Brasil are out.

I feel for Marta, the greatest and most influential player of the last 15 years never to win a World Cup. And my favorite player of all time.

@rare  Don't be put off by the first episode, it's really just introducing the characters, but goes a bit overboard with idolizing bit.

Sad news, my Mum passed away on 24th December 2020. In hospital for a fall that she was recovering from, she caught Covid 19 during her stay (in the UK you're screened before admitted and she was negative) and the rest went downhill in a couple of days.

This is just a message to say wherever you are, observe the hygiene recommendations while this pandemic...
