Today me, Noir, and Kylepus met up with Milli --who is incredibly beautiful in person and just a total sweetheart-- and walked all around downtown Sydney. We got tons of pictures, mostly of Kyle which we'll post in his journal as soon as we get them copied over. After walking around the Queen Victoria Building we went to the Sydney aquarium where TheFuckOffKid who we got drinks with afterward. Now, if I can do nothing else in this life I can finally say I've bought TFOK a beer. Nevermind that we had a blast hangin out and had some great conversation. If you're here on SG much you surely know how well respected TFOK is amongst most everyone and there's definitely a reason. It only takes a few minutes of associating with him to see he's a man of great character.
When he came over to meet us and shook our hands he met us by the crocodile who would not wake up. I thought the crocodile might be a dummy. When we came back it was turned around so I'm sure it was alive. Also, I'm not sure if I've told anyone here before since it's not really something that's readily on my mind, but I love sharks. I think they're some of the most amazing most beautiful creatures on earth.
What I really think is awesome about them is they're one of the only creatures who communicate with eachother with telepathy. Like how aliens are reported to communicate. They have sensors that detect electrical impulses that muscles give off and can tell when the other sharks around them are in a feeding frenzy or clearing away from danger or whatever. No it's not a complex language or anything. It's nothing like 802.11b or anything, but still it is a form of communication by electrical networking.
When we were underneath the tank watching them I went off for a few minutes by myself and just watched them swim around thinking about how amazing of creatures they are. It was kindo funny that, although only for just a few minutes, I was somewhat more concerned with being around them than around the severely amazing creatures such as Milli and TFOK that I actually came here to meet.
That's not to say that I won't be cherishing the time we spent together forever and never forget it though. It was a truly fantastic day.
