I thought I'd take this opportunity to make a 'birthday special'.
What with the years winding away rapidly now and old age setting in, the fear of a zimmer frame really is haunting me. Alas, I'll go out fighting as I came in (though technically I was dead when I was born
)
Anyway, a year down....am I any wiser? Probably not, I havnt learned a single thing at college this year that I didnt already know.
I havnt really hurt myself stupidly like I used to so I've not had the opportunity to learn that, say, fire really does get quite warm and can burn off half your hand (man, 2004 totally rocked for that!
)
All in then, it makes me wonder about the whole birthday thing. I've never really been big into b'days like some people are. It's just another day, I dont feel or look older etc.
Howsabout you? Are birthdays a big event? do you think they really are a turning point?! Perhaps a healthy reminder that you should do something with yourself?! Or just that you're closer to dying! haha.
wow, that was thought provoking and inciteful (sarcasm detectors at the ready.) Though in happy news, I spent the whole night with my parents having a bonfire, and that was pretty cool. I dont really get to speak to them too often, so it was nice to just chill....
Personally though.....screw birthdays, they're fucking clown shoes
Thinking about it, I'd rather use my birthday as a turning point than new years....so, this year I intend to:
Start skating again.
move out
start making films
get a better job
cure world hunger
re-discover my weights and start lifting again
and...err......cure cancer.
I'll catch you back in a year with my success stories....alert the national press!
