whoo! what a long night... i was booked to work in duluth tonight... which wouldn't have been all bad if someone had warned me that it was going to snow. getting off at one in the morning after dancing a good eight hours to drive a hundred and fifty miles on roads that want you dead is NOT my idea of a good time.
always the optimist (ha!) i'd assumed we were done with this... it was forty degrees when i left my house, after all... ah, minnesota... how i bow to your every whim.
oh well... there are a couple of good things about the snow... usually when i'm driving home from duluth i have to stop at a rest stop, lock my car and just sleep... but the snow terrifies me to the point that i white knuckle it all the way home and get too jittery to conk out at the wheel... i also like when you go through cities how the street lights reflect off the falling snow and make this really weird pseudo dusk. you know, the one where it's two in the morning, but it feels like you've been out all night fucking off and you're just getting home and suddenly realize it's like six and you've gotta be up in two hours anyways...? yeah. that sucks.
i can't wait until it's spring... because that means thunderstorms (which i heart ferociously) and streaking temperatures. gotta love those streaking temperatures.
and now... my bed... and... you know, porn. quit watching me now. pervs.

i feel the same way about you my dear.
thunderstorms - i love them and yet i am totally terrified of them. i am totally afraid of tornados and i was within about 5 feet of being struck my lightening once (it hit a tree next to me). i liked storms more when i was right in the middle of the city - it's pretty safe there, but being away from the city the reality of them makes the scary part more overwheming than the fun part.
but i do really enjoy taking pictures of bad weather - clouds and lighteniing and stuff.
