Hmm well on the 16th of Feb i recently launched my project "The Face We Live In" !!!!!!
https://www.facebook.com/TFWLI
The aim of this project is to explore and exhibit the idea of identity. To explore how our perspective of ourselves is shaped by not only what we look like, but also what we think about ourselves. It is to explore the face of humanity and capture the beauty, strangeness and difference in us all.
This project is not limited to a single location or style but rather to as many people as possible where ever they may be.
Basically in a nutshell i want to capture as many people and as many unique faces as possible! Think of it as an attempt to snapshot what the population of Perth, WA and hopefully other areas as well, currently look like.
There's a look at the first promotional image compilation I took for the launch date. Had one no-show so I had to jump in front of the camera and rock my best "where the heck am i" expression. I'm not sure how compressed it will look on here but its at 300dpi so it looks decent on social media.
I'll hopefully be bringing this show on the road with me as I come to the SGAU ball (hopefully i can convince a few of the lovely AU members to jump in front of the camera for a shot or two when we aren't all hung over).
Other than trying to promote the first public session (which if you are in WA on the 5th of March you can participate in here ) i'm also searching for exhibition spaces (preferably free but i'm also happy to pay) and anyone interested in sponsoring this project as currently I'm funding it all out of my own pocket whilst job searching. Which as you can guess makes it a bit interesting.
Other than running around on project related business I'm currently job hunting as the place i was working most of my time decided to shut its door quiet suddenly and without warning any of the staff. spending most of my free time in the gym as i'm already paying for it and its a productive way for me to kill a lot of the empty hours.
