WHAT A DAY!
2 days ago i received a last minute booking for a fashion parade out in the sticks. It was good money so typically i was in
Yesterday i rolled out of bed at 6am after barely sleeping showered and loaded up for the trip out. The fashion parade took place at the Dowerin Field Day Festival, its basically a country version of the royal show (for perthies), for everyone else just imagine a gigantic country fair.
It took 2 hours to drive up with my assistant, who volunteered to do all the driving since i wouldnt actually need a second shooter. Thank god she drove as i was barely awake at that point. Had a bit of a sleep on the way up which was nice. Arrived on time and found the parade location.
The lighting on site was slightly off but thankfully the lighting technian Bek was extemely friendly and more than happy to work with me to achieve the best results.
The Fashion Paradehad two parts. An Avante Garde section with outfits made from farmyard scrap and recycled materials. Interesting but obviously not something you would buy/wear . Some very strange entries.
The second part was a selection of garments exhibited by brands such as Charlie Brown, Zig Zag and few more i cant remember.
The fashion parade repeated twice through the day so i had plenty of time to get all my shots and capture each and every garment spot on. The day finished up at 2:30pm by which point i was absolutely dead on my feet. The parade organiser Dana was very lovely and friendly and was a pleasure to work with even if there was some last minute confusion on the organizational side.
Sleep the whole way back in the car, got home and began uploading the images to the computer and fell asleep for a few hours. Woke up and showered, changed and switched batteries and then back out to my regular Wednesday Nightclub gig.
The club was pumping and absolutely packed! fantastic night but currently waiting for images to upload and convert before edit. At least another 4 hours left tonight.
So tired.
Hope you all had a fantastic day
