I always feel bad about posting a new blog after getting so many comments on the last one. People seam to be more likely to leave one if there are a few there already. But I did promiss a book review...

A biography on Emma Hamilton The unwanted daughter of a coal mine's blacksmith, who died in 1815 nearly broken and alone near Calais, France. But it's the bits inbetween that can fill a book, or art gallery.
She was a maid, production assistant, bar maid, prostitute, model, mistress, singer, fashion icon, ambassador, seductress, mother, criminal, and wife.
She had a one in three chance of dying before her 5th birthday, as did anyone in mid 18th century to early 19th century. One of her three children died early, as did 10 of Queen Maria Carolina of Austria (sister of Marie Antoinette)'s 18 children. One of which died in Emma Hamilton's arms.
