Spirit is up to 716 watt hours per sol. Go little rover. Well get out of the soft sand first.

I month or so ago I sujested that Dwam was in Winnipeg, I left her a wiki link for the city incase she didn't know were it was. I think the travel add writes it's self (abridged from wiki)

Climate
Winnipeg has a humid continental climate with extremes of hot and cold. Summers in the Winnipeg area can sometimes be quite humid; Carman, Manitoba with the humidex reached 53. Winters in Winnipeg are usually quite dry, they can sometimes feel colder due to the strong wind coming from the northwest, with the wind chill the city has reached a record low of -57.1. Environment Canada has named Winnipeg the coldest city in the world with a population of over 600,000.

Winnipeg is ranked:

6th overall for Canada's sunniest city year round,
2nd for clearest skies year-round (second only to Estevan),
2nd for sunniest city in Canada in the spring and winter.
4 th in Canada with 49 wind chill days at -30 or less

Winnipeg has:

58 days a year where the temperature reaches -20C or less,
45 days a year where the humidex reaches above 30 on average,
14 days a year where the temperature reaches above 30C on average (compared to Toronto's average of 13 days).

temperature range in April: -26.3 C (-15 F) to 34.3 C (94 F)
temperature range in October:-20.6 C (-5.1 F) to 30.5 C (86.9 F).

Like Chicago, Winnipeg is known as a windy city; however both Regina and Hamilton are windier. Although Tornadoes are usually not common near Winnipeg, a Fujita Scale F5 tornado struck Elie, Manitoba (just 40 km (25 miles) west of Winnipeg) in 2007; this was the strongest tornado ever recorded in Canada. Winnipeg can also be prone to flooding in the spring; some major floods include the 1950 Red River Flood, 1997 Red River Flood, and the 2009 Red River Flood. These major floods led to the 1968 construction, and subsequent expansion, of the Red River Floodway, designed to protect Winnipeg from floods.
