I has been 6 years since I was home for the holidays. But I think this will be my last Christmas in Korea. Who knows where next year will lead me though.
I remember lots of big family gatherings growing up, but lately everyone lives too far away or is getting too old to get together. We also don't have a lot of photos either so I can't really share anything.
What I can do is share some of my favorite Christmas music and a school project!
So music first...
BoyzIIMen - Silent Night
The Vandals - Oi to the World
(The whole Christmas album is hilarious)
Carol of the Bells
Now for some craftiness
Now I don't actually make a calendar for Advent. But the same idea can by used for many things. So behind each number on the way to Christmas I paste a letter of the alphabet. Then each day one student gets to come up front, open the flap/box/etc. and reveal the letter of the day. Then the student tells Santa Teacher what present, which starts with the given letter, he/she wants for Christmas. Great activity for pre-K through 1st grade and even higher sometimes. Hope everyone enjoyed/is enjoying Christmas!
Thanks again @missy , @rambo, and @lyxzen
