Sorry to be a little late, but thanks for the homework @missy, @lyxzen, and @rambo.
The line between crazy and stupid is thin, so I really had to sort out which story I should tell here. The best one is probably my trip to Europe 5 years ago. Back then I had just broken up with my German girlfriend (we met in the U.S.), but already had a plane ticket to move with her, so I just went on a big trip instead.
Anyways...on the way from Paris to Marseille, the train suddenly stopped. Something broke and it was going to take hours to fix. While we were waiting I went to the food car and ran into some drunk French university students. They were demanding I give a password, but I don't speak French and their English wasn't good. When they realized I was an American, they got really excited and asked me to drink with them. A few drinks later, they asked me to go to Avignon to watch SM Caen with them! I am a huge soccer fan, so I was really excited!
We were the only people cheering for SM Caen, the only guy who spoke some English got arrested for spitting on the cops, and we ended up sleeping on the street. It was a great night! haha
So next time some strangers ask you to go somewhere you don't know in a language you don't speak, say "Yes!"
P.S. I will add some pics in a separate album
