So, I'll either have comcast internet and cable in a few hours, or they are going to hear a tirade. The comcast installer showed up on time(well, towards the end of the time scheduled, but still in the window) but then informed me that they didn't offer internet at my location. He called his boss and apparently they said the same thing, so I told him forget the install because I only added tv service to get a better internet service. He asked I call comcast to cancel, so I did. Comcast then informs me that, yes, we do offer internet there and they don't know why the installer said they didn't. Now I have another technician on the way(supposedly) to do an install. I'll post a followup if/when they arrive and I actually have comcast internet service up and running. If they get here and again tell me "no internet" then I have the feeling I'm going to go on a tirade on the installer and the comcast support line. I'm usually a calm person, but this runaround has me pissed, especially when they are dangling 30 mbps download/6 mbps uploads in front of me. I currently have DSL which is 6 down/.75 up, which is passable, but nothing at all like what I'm told I can get. So, either fast internet or much cursing is coming up for my afternoon. I hope it's internet.
