Chyron on Hannity & Colmes
Is the global warming hysteria scientifically sound?
Hysteria is a "psychological disturbance" so, by definition, it can't be very sound.
Talk about semantic loading.
OK, so maybe I shouldn't have been complaining about unseasonably warm temperatures ... its been between 0F and 10F at night for the last week, and I'm already tired of it.
I've long heard it is a good idea to leave your bath water in the tub until it cools down as an energy saving measure. Out of boredom ran the numbers ...
I get about 3.25 gallon/minute of flow, and for a 9 minute tub (about 31 gallons) at 110F, and with a room temperature of 70F (delta 40 degrees) the bathwater contains about 10200 BTU of thermal energy. This works out to a shade under 3000 watts, and, figuring for electricity at $0.08/kWh ... call it a quarter dollar worth of energy saved per tub bath.

Needed to dig up whether a high Vo level input to a dot matrix LCD panel does anything bad to it, and ran into this IEEE citation ... what in the fuck is "worlung actuality" , and what does it have to do with EIDE disk subsystems? Seems that 'worlung' must be a common spelling error for "working".

Worlung women in worlung mode; gays and lesbians are worlung, and so are senate and house members ... and I'm laughing my ass off.
