Okay so this is my first blog entry, ever, so forgive me if this is as boring as watching paint drying in slow motion...
I've been having a look around on the site and it seems like one of the highly recommended things to do on here is blog about who you are, what you are up to and what you are thinking so that those who may want to talk to you have some sort of starting point to comment on.
Well here goes...
I started uni in 2010 and the first year has been tough; I ran out of money in the first term then lived off 2-5 a week until last month, my gran who has been more like a mother to me got diagnosed with having breast cancer during my fresher week, I also changed courses my during my fresher week and I came out to my friends and family as being bisexual. To some a list of things such as those would be a walk in the park but to me it was an awful lot to handle in the space of 9 short months as well as trying to make new friends in a new area, write essays, sit exams, keep healthy and generally get to grips with living away from home for the first time and because of all of that going on I stopped making the time for art. I've used as art as a way of coping with daily stresses ever since I could hold a paint brush in my hand and was aware that daily stresses even existed.
Now first year is over, my Gran is in remission, I ran Race for Life at the start of this month and raised 1000 for cancer research, I passed my first year at universtiy, I'm enjoying living an open and honest life now that those I love know my sexual orientation and have come to terms with it, my money worries are resolved and I'll be moving out of halls into my own first house next month and to mark these successes I am returning to art and also finally venturing into the world of photography. The photo I've uploaded is one I took on a test run with my new camera yesterday in preparation for a week long trip to London. On the trip I'm hoping to capture some brilliant street and park life scenes to use as prints to sell from the online business I plan to start up the end of this year beginning of next or to work from when creating my next few pieces of art work.
So I was wondering is there anyone reading this who has any reccomendations of where I could go to get some great shots in London?
Anyone with any tips for starting up online art and photography businesses?
Or if you have any other questions you would like to ask me then feel free to leave a comment below?
I hope this entry hasn't lead to you falling asleep on your keyboards
And for anyone interested in seeing the results of my trip away to London I'll be posting a follow up blog entry on Tuesday 9th.
Adios amigos! x

Also don't forget to apply for SGUK!
And will do! Apparently I need to get vouched for by two members though, not sure how I'm going to go about that but I'll give it a shot one way or another
