So, last night was a lot of fun... but really bad at the same time. <--Funny, how this seems to happen a lot
First off, I hung out with my ex-boyfriend Jason. Jason is probably one of the coolest guys I know. He's smart, funny, attractive, very easy going- basically, he has everything that I look for in a guy. Why didn't we work out? Well, we were both in high school and very naive when it came to relationships. The motto that I felt best fit our situation was, "as compatible as we were, we were better friends than lovers."
Anyway, to get back on track... He and I met up at a bar in Whittier and caught up on each other's lives over a few beers (the poison that night: a French beer which translates to "The end of the world"). His friend Ruben was there (also fairly attractive fellow), and we all just talked about music (both Jason and Ruben used to be in a band together), art, tattoos, vegan food, and Jason's girlfriend (who sounds like a very interesting character).
After a few rounds, Ruben had to go to his band rehearsal. Jason and I went to check out Ruben rehearse, and the band sounded amazing. The music was nice and heavy. Yum!
Needless to say, more drinking and conversation continued until about 3:30 this morning. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Jason- and this morning I woke up to a text asking if I was up for a round two tonight. Awesome!
So, why was last night really bad? Well, I lied to Jason and assured him that I was still good to drive myself home. No, I didn't cause any accidents, and yes, I made it home safely, but it was really stupid on my part to be stubborn enough to drive home when I had other options available to me. If round two does take place tonight, I'm cutting myself off a little earlier so that I could actually be sober when I'm driving home.
***SG update***
This morning, I read an e-mail from the lovely Sawa which basically said that SG loved the sample photos she sent in and that she was going to go on and prep my set to turn it in. YAY!!! Now, I'm this much *gestures with fingers* closer to being an SG.
