i've decided to go private (SG members only) with my entries starting next post. i'm realizing that i need at least one place to post where my whole life is not on display to everyone else, just one select community who has been amazing at not judging me and letting me be me.
in other news...
it's still sort of raining and grey here. normally, i love rain and greyness, but 10 days of it is sort of starting to wear on me. the 3 inches of water that have accumulated in the backyard and are threatening to gush into the basement are also not sitting so well with me either. my garden is still not planted, and that pisses me off. so the end of this rain cannot come soon enough.
camping this weekend was great until the rain started. we managed to sneak in two good hikes and a good night of snuggling in the tent. i love camping. we're already planning a trip to the Cypress Hills for some time this month, we just have to work it out with J's schedule. maybe it won't rain.
there is a big box of death corn for pigeons on the roof of my work building just outside my window. sparrows keep coming by to eat it. i think i may start climbing up on said roof and throwing out said corn just because i'm sick of seeing little unsuspecting birds eat it and then die somewhere later. bastards. if i could reach it from my barred window, i'd be all about throwing it away right now. slightly ironic that they choose to put the death corn outside of the nature organization's window.
i got a new cell phone yesterday. i'm not sure what i think of it - it seems a bit hollow-sounding when i talk on it compared to my other one... we'll see though. it is pretty cool, from a funky gadget standpoint.
questions for you this fine tuesday:
1. name a cartoon that you loved as a child
2. name a song with the word 'cold' in the title.
3. are you a planner or a much more spontaneous person?
4. you've been given the opportunity to plan a trip where you can spend $5000, but can have nothing to show for it. where do you go and what do you do?
my answers:
1. the Smurfs, Care Bears, Transformers
2. 'When It's Cold I'd Like to Die' - Moby
3. depends on the situation. some things i like to plan. other things, i just do.
4. book plane tickets to Las Vegas and blow it all there. it's a place i want to see ONCE and that's it, and don't plan to take a lot of pictures of, so that's what i'd do with the money. any where else i'd want to bring things back from.
have a lovely day my lovelies.
