things have been looking slightly up as the week has worn on. we're heading out to visit J's aunt and uncle tomorrow in Shaunovan and to watch the dinner theatre his aunt and uncle are involved in. it should be good. last year's was great, but very sad. i bawled... this year's is supposed to be funny...
took my baby in to the dealership to get the oil changed and all that jazz today. they ended up washing it, which froze the doors AND frosted up the windshield inside. i sat in the parking lot for 15 minutes until it blew enough air to get rid of the frost. only problem is with a diesel in -20C weather it takes freaking forever to warm up, and usually not until you drive the damn thing. i love my car, but i think it would work better in a warmer clime...
hoping to make some xmas ornaments next weekend. this week is a trade show all week (blech) but i don't have to be there the whole time, thank gawd. i'd go fucking batty if i had to be. 10 hours straight being happy and smiley and pleasant while standing on a concrete floor. good times. really
saw "matchstick men" last night at the cheap seats. excellent movie, though my viewing partners claimed to know what was going to happen 15 minutes into it. i prefer to take the movie as it comes, and not try to figure it out that early. it's not like it's a mystery or anything...nonetheless, good stuff, though i liked Cage in Adaptation better. the girl from White Oleander (the movie version, which i refuse to start ranting about right now) plays his daughter as well. she kicks ass.
btw, read White Oleander if you haven't yet. it's an amazing book, turned into a truly mediocre movie.
anyhow, gots to be up early tomorrow to take my baba to the bus, so i'm off. sweet dreams and sultry nights all.
