It's been a couple of weeks since I last threw something up here. I've been doing a lot of writing in the outside world so I haven't been motivated much to write here. I know, I should but...
Anyways, for your listening pleasure:
Powderfinger - Empty Space
Chase & Status w/ Delilah - Time
Andy Stott - Numb
Manchester Orchestra - Simple Math
Local Natives - Who Knows Who Cares
I was part of a team this morning collecting food and other needs for a local homeless shelter. Perfect day to be out there. Who would have guessed that this late in November, here in NY, we would all be in T-shirts. Sunny sky. And lots and lots of generous hearts. Apparently there had been a group going through the same area just a few days before collecting for Hurricane Sandy but even still, most everybody gave if they could or wished us well if they could not. Had a lot of great conversations with some great people at their doorstep. It is good to see that community can still be more than a word used of nostalgic memories of our past.
Halloween has come and gone. I worked the evening so I didn't get to enjoy the fun. My 2 year old niece was out there collecting candy for the first time and absolutely loving it in her pink princess dress.
Not much else has been going on. I've been doing a lot of writing, a little working (since all my writing lately has been volunteer), not nearly enough partying. I'm getting tired of being single, but am not the type to just throw myself into the first relationship that comes along. Was in a long car ride today with a friend and we started reminiscing about college relationships. I'm glad for the times I had and the memories I made, but there definitely were some chances I wish I took.
Anyways, I'm off to bed. Planet Fitness comes awfully early.
