I was thinking about eggs tonight.
I can understand the first person to eat meat. It seems like an instinctual thing, and you can at least see examples in the animal world. Same as milk-although I'm impressed with the first person who pulled on a cow's udder and decided to drink what came out of there. But who was the first person to think about eating eggs??? Doesn't that seem insane?
I want you all to be thankful that I wasn't born until now, because I wouldn't have contributed anything. You could lock me in a room for a million years with wool and I would never think to build a loom to make cloth. Or I could be stranded with wheat forever and I would NEVER come up with bread-how much thought did THAT take? Or glass out of sand? What is that insanity???
I'm glad I was born now where I can benefit from other people's work.
Speaking of inventions, though, I find this interesting. I think it's incredible that countless primative tribes around the world-who were not in contact with each other- came up with the bow and arrow, or the idea of stretching an animal skin over a hollow log to make a drum.
Again, I wouldn't have come up with that.
Thankfully I was born in America in the late 20th century where I can prosper no matter how worthless I am!

I often think about cruel humour in egg vein like, erm, a chicken omelette.

Hi! I got your emails. I'll think of a story to write you. I'll have to tell you about the tugboats. I'm sleepy tonight. Have a good night.
